	Summary:
	Тhermal performance of the building envelope has a significant contribution to the energy performance of entire building, its economy an ,of course, environmental protection which makes it all the actuall topic today , especially when it comes to public buildings. Following global trends in energy efficiency and making a significant contribution to its development in the Republic of Srpska, The Faculty of Architecture and Civil Engineering, University of Banja Luka is currently conducting scientific research project entitled " Experimental determination of the thermal characteristics of the envelope of preschool education buildings in Banja Luka in order to improve their energy efficiency, thermal comfort and reduce greenhouse gas emissions. " Only a part of the results, namely the analysis of the thermal performance of the building envelope based on the example of one of the underlying pre-school buildings using thermal transmittance values of structural elements and thermal images has been presented in this paper.
